By the way, any time you need to search your “memory banks” you can use your built-in “find” feature. That’s your Inner Wise Woman. You already have a nice relationship with her because of what you did in Seminar #2. She’s a direct conduit to everything you know, every memory and experience. Some are buried too deep even for her, but many will surface when you block out the outside world and use this connection to your deep psyche, your intuition, your heart and soul. She’s a part of you and you’ve learned to trust her.
2) As you read your list of best qualities, how does it make you feel? Proud, inspired, enthused? Or maybe it makes you sad to remember that you wanted to be a writer in high school but some stupid teacher said you were lousy. Are you focusing on the bad feelings? Don’t! Focus on the good feelings BEFORE you were knocked down, when it was still okay to dream. We feel our emotions, our failures and our successes in our bodies. That’s where it gets locked in and becomes a part of who we are, how we relate to the outside world. Right now, I want you to focus on the good feelings. We’ll deal with the bad stuff later.
3) Do others know these things about you? Do you have someone you love and trust with whom you’d like to share your list? Make a date to do so. If you don’t have anyone, then do it with yourself by looking in a mirror. Or have a sweet conversation with your Inner Wise Woman. Go ahead, brag a little. After you’ve done so, make a few notes about how it felt to share your list. Were you proud, embarrassed, surprised that you had so much going for you? continued
