Your Poems of Love
My Soul Mate
My Soul Mate
We have touched so many of our lives.
Never have we been bound.
Our soul always searching.
Always finding. And then our passing
Leaving us in despair.
Never having you to be, or for us to share.
My heart always waiting for the meeting,
Always so sweet, well worth the wait.
Hoping and praying that this time,
Would be our date.
Always touched by you,
It's wonderful that only you
Can make me whole.
Faith has carried us threw
And fate has brought us to this date.
Destine we are, to share our hearts.
Soul mates finally made complete
and forever we can share this loving state.
Jodi
On the Shores of Cape Cod
The moon bends over stage curtains:
Blue velvet, night sky.
Track lit stars show hints of string,
Moon dances marionette waves
Under and over each other like lovers
Cut free on beaches, crashing
White as linen on the line,
Loud as stadium applause,
Soft as liquid soap.
What force could move me--
Moon or car, astrology of stars--
To this sand near you, night storms
Roll onto land, spinning reeds
On the beach, we are the waves
Pulled by the moon, our shades change
From midnight
To cornflower, and now white.
The word we use connecting these strings
From moon to waves, wind to reeds,
You to me,
We could call it science,
I call it mystery.
