October - 2005
Hi Everyone,
It’s been way too long since I’ve sent out a newsletter, and I
apologize. There are no excuses. Well, maybe there is. Does a new man
in my life count? I've given you the lowdown below. But I am
embarrassed that I let things go so long. I do appreciate the emails
I’ve received from some of you who have wondered why you haven’t gotten
anything from me. You have put the necessary fire under my butt. Thank
you.
Because of tighter safety measures against spam I am now sending the
newsletter in a simplified, short version with links instead of
everything on your mailing. It is a bit inconvenient but it's better
than only half of you being able to get my newsletter.
As always, I hope you will be inspired to continue on your path toward
your ultimate best self, enjoy giving and receiving more love, and
maybe even inspire others, through your love, to be the best person you
can be.
In this month's newsletter:
Closure: What are the benefits?
Flip Flopped: My bad hair days.
How I Met Chris: The love of my life.
Dating tip: Smile your brightest smile...always. You never know if Mr.
Right is watching from across the room. And when you have a guy you're
interested in, tell him you just want to allow it to unfold in it's own
time...in it's own way. He'll be able to relax and enjoy you more if he
knows the pressure is off.
Marriage tip: Cuddle in bed more, either in the morning or evening,
depending on how much time you have. Then ask one of those
non-threatening questions about his interests. Example: What do you
like best about being a dad, a husband, fishing, basketball. Then, as I
explain in Men Made Easy, hush up and listen. Don't editorialize on
what he says, and when he's done, cuddle into him and tell him how much
you appreciate his sharing.
Electronic Cards For All Occasions
In case you've never sent an ecard before you should go to my friend's
site. I just sent one to my boyfriend and I had trouble selecting just
one because there were several that I wanted to use. You'll love her
site. Just go to AdoringYou.com.
Ever watchful for great beauty tips, here's one that some of you will
be very happy with:
I saw an article in Redbook where the magazine staff tried all the
cellulite smoothing techniques and products. In the before and after
photos they all seemed to work. The best buy is L'Oreal, Sublime Slim.
There's a Day and a Night cream and they really do work. Around $15.00
each. I was using something from Nordstrom for around $60 that worked,
but I like spending less. You have to do the massage that they describe
in the instructions but you'll get positive results as I have. (My
daughter reminded me yesterday that I used to use a rolling pin when I
was in my 30's so it's been an ongoing problem, even though I'm a size
4. It's so nice to have it gone. I was able to go to Maui with Chris in
July and prance around in a bikini and feel great. At 57, that's an
achievement. By the way, I hope you are all exercising regularly. It
keeps that glow in your cheeks and your spirits up. Lifting weights 3
times a week and walking 3 times a week for 30 minutes are the best for
your bones. I also ride my bike.)
An inspiring website:
I get a lovely daily email called the Daily OM. Their goal is to be a
source for you to nurture your mind, body & spirit. Every weekday they
send an inspirational thought for a happy, healthy and fulfilling day.
They are intended to awaken your inner knowing and help you become
aware of the deeper mysteries in life.
Their website is DailyOM.com where you can sign up for their
free daily emails.
I promise to be better about staying in touch from now on. I have a new
book almost finished. It's called How To Guarantee A Lifetime of Love.
I'm really pleased with it. I'll let you know when it's available.
In case you didn't know, I do private relationship coaching over the
phone. I've loved getting to know so many of you and how you've been
able to make beneficial changes in your life. If you would like to

This month's joke:
Maud and Claud, both 91, lived in a retirement community. They met in
the social center and discovered over time that they enjoyed each
other's company. After several weeks of meeting for coffee, Claude
asked Maude out for dinner and much to his delight, she accepted.
They had a lovely evening. They dined at the most romantic restaurant
in town. And despite his age, Claude was still a charmer. Afterward,
Claud asked Maude to join him at his place for an after-dinner drink.
Things continued along at a natural course and age being no inhibitor,
Maude soon joined Claude for a most enjoyable roll in the hay. As they
were basking in the glow of the magic moments they'd shared, each was
lost for a time in their own thoughts.
Claude was thinking: "If I'd known she was a virgin, I'd have been more
gentle."
Maude was thinking: "If I'd known he could still get it up, I'd have
taken off my panyhose."
"Do something important with your life: Enjoy it!"
