AliveWithLove.com Home Only subscribers to the newsletter have access to this page. January - 2003 Hi all, Kara here, This Month's Issue Includes:
1. What Was the Last Miracle You Were the Cause Of? Attention: All newsletters are now posted on AliveWithLove.com here. 1. WHAT WAS THE LAST MIRACLE YOU WERE THE CAUSE OF? You may think you have never caused a miracle to happen, but you are absolutely wrong, wrong, wrong. :-) Let me give you my definition of a miracle: A miracle is anything that cannot be explained by science. What I am driving at is that you create miracles every day, you just don’t think of them as miracles. Here are a few:
As a challenge to you I am requesting you to make a list of all the miracles you are the cause of. How have you created miracles for yourself and how have you caused miracles in others? Make a list and realize that even being able to cause a miracle as simple as a smile is a miracle. Now make a list of all the miracles you would like to cause in the year 2003. How can you make your goals come true? How can you let another person feel loved, cared for, accepted, or understood? How can you share your human gifts? How can you express your creativity? Select the most important items on that list and create a plan for miracle making. If you work with a friend and help each other stay on target, you will accomplish much more and have greater success. Give yourself lots of applause for every tiny and large miracle you cause. If you dance in the morning while you are getting ready for work and feel joyful all day, applause, applause. If you make another person feel good because you smiled at them or made them laugh, applause, applause. If you stuck to your new, healthy way of eating, applause, applause. You cannot change the past but you can certainly fill the future with an ongoing string of miracles. Make your future a string of pearls that you can admire and enjoy for the rest of your life. 2. JOURNAL YOUR MIRACLES You’ve heard how important it is to keep a journal but maybe you have let yours go or you have never tried it. Why not make this a new beginning? Journaling is a way to experience your life more fully, to notice lessons that have been learned, to vent emotions without harm, or to dream. As you create miracles in you life, why not write them down? That way, you will not miss them and you can give yourself more applause. 3. NEW YEAR RITUAL One of the most important aspects of a ritual is to honor life’s transitions. Closing one year and moving into the next can be a perfect time to create a ritual that will help you to achieve what you want in the coming year. To read the New Year Ritual and to find out more about the power of ritual click here. 4. NEW, HEALTHY YOU - AND LOSE WEIGHT, TOO I was reading Good Housekeeping Magazine and found a wonderful article on healthy eating, which just happens to be the best way to lose and keep those extra pounds off. It’s in the January issue so it’s still on the news stands. The focus of the article was nine resolutions everyone should make for a healthy 2003 and beyond. Here are the resolutions:
I would highly recommend that you read the article. It is really well written and inspiring. And of course, get back into your exercise program. You know all the reasons why. You deserve to feel and look good. The information comes from a great new book by Jim Karas, Flip the Switch. To learn more or to order click here. 5. MY BOOK BOO-BOO In last months newsletter I enticed you with a rare offer. I accidentally mixed it up and said you could get two books for the price of three. Fortunately, most of you who ordered Men Made Easy for your girlfriends figured out real quickly that I had obviously messed up. Three for the price of two sounds a bit better, doesn’t it? Thank you to all of you who chose to share what you’ve learned from my book with your friends. I am always honored to hear from you. When you purchase three, it tells me a lot. And don’t forget the Yahoo! Men Made Easy Online Support Group. They are growing by leaps and bounds. The link is on the AliveWithLove.com home page. 6. WHERE DO PRINCES COME FROM? I hope you were all able to open the ebook I offered last month. It’s a really big file so I hope it worked for you. It’s a sweet story and I’m kinda’ proud of it. I loved telling it aloud to the children in the libraries. The little girls were especially enraptured with my tale. 7. BETTER SEX VIDEOS I finally got approved by Better Sex Videos to represent them and wow!, have lots of you been buying tapes. It is the largest selling item on my site, except for Men Made Easy. I’m so happy to make them available to you. For any of you who are interested, you might want to check them out: click here P.S. Lots of women have written asking how to give a man great fellatio. Well, on the Sensual You main page, there’s a link that you might be interested in. click here "Great food is like great sex, the better it is, the more you want." A LITTLE INSPIRATION ATTITUDE The 92-year-old, well-poised and proud lady, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o-clock, with her hair fashionably coifed and make-up perfectly applied, even though she is legally blind, moved to a nursing hope today. Her husband of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her room was ready. As she maneuvered her walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of her tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on her window. “I love it,” she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy. “Mrs. Jones, you haven’t even seen the room--just wait.” “That doesn’t have anything to do with it,” she replied. “Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn’t depend on how the furniture is arranged...it’s how I arrange my mind. “I already decided to love it... It’s a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift and as long as my eyes open I’ll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I’ve stored away...just for this time in my life. “Old age is like a bank account, you withdraw from what you’ve put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories. Thank you for your part in filling my Memory Bank. I am still depositing.” I hope you will make this coming year the best ever. It might not be pain free, but even the pain is hiding some pretty amazing blessings.
