June 20 , 2007 Hi there, Kara here, In this issue: 1) Cocktail Attire and Big Lips Last night I went to a launch party for a new magazine in which I have a column. It's called Scene & Heard In Santa Barbara. It's a beautiful magazine and I hope they will have mountains of success. Gloria, the spirit behind the magazine, asked for Cocktail Attire on her invitation. I was shocked by how many ignored her wishes and I talked to several people who thought it was downright rude. But what I really wanted to comment on is all the collagen lips. Oh...My...Gawd!!! Everywhere I looked were women who looked like they'd been stung by bees. Not only were their lips obviously enlarged, they were uneven so that it looked like 3 or 4 bees had done a number on them. As I always seem to do, I began to poll men. They all were adamant that it was really gross. Maybe women are doing it for other woman but I think it's gross too. I teach Feminine Grace. Purposeful disfigurement and grace don't go together. Be as natural as possible and you'll always be your most beautiful self. There are lots of products you can use to enhance your beauty and forestall aging that are not dangerous or disfiguring. I beg you, please don't disfigure yourself in an effort to look more attractive or more youthful. If you want bigger lips there are some great products that allow you to control what is happening to your face. I use Physicians Complex Lip Enhancer. I've always had very full lips, and they still are, but a while back I noticed that I was beginning to get that line just inside the lip line. I recognized it as how older women's lips look. Yikes! I'm an older woman. The plumper I use works so well that sometimes it makes my top lip too full. There are others that are probably cheaper but I haven't used them. Please, no more disfiguring in the named of beauty. 2) Easiest Exercise Program I've Ever Tried Exercising is one of the best ways to look more youthful and attractive. It's also one of the most important gifts we can give ourselves but sometimes it's difficult to get to it. Once you begin, it's easy. Have you ever finished exercising and thought, "Why did I do that?" Doubtful. Well, I pulled 3 pages of exercises out of Oprah Magazine a couple of month's ago and I've been doing them every evening since. I have quit going to the gym, which was always hit-or-miss because I didn't want to take the time to get my butt down there. I always feel guilty if I'm just sitting and watching TV so I do these exercises while I'm watching my favorite shows. They seem to cover all the bases, plus weight bearing, which you need to keep your bones strong, and I'm looking more toned than ever. If you know you need to get into an exercise habit, maybe this will do the trick. Men don't want skinny, they want healthy. If you look healthier and more toned, you'll feel better, you'll be more confident, and you'll be much more attractive. To see the exercises (and print them out) just go here. 3) A Month In Scotland & Ireland and Why A Whole Lot Of Men Marry Travel is one of the best ways for a couple to bond and learn about each other. Chris, my fiance', is taking me to Scotland for 3 weeks and then Ireland for 1 week. We've never spent an entire month together so we're looking forward to adventures on many levels. Since he officially proposed, and we've been working on my engagement ring with the designer, we're both much more relaxed and open. I suspect that one reason women want to get to this stage is for that very reason, to be able to relax in the knowledge that he's wanting the same thing. My email doesn't always work when I travel so if you haven't gone to AliveWithLove.com to join the newsletter there, you might not receive any of the newsletters that I'll be sending out over the next month. By the way, I've been reading a great book, Why Men Marry Some Women And Not Others by John T. Molloy. He interviewed almost 3000 men and couples (many as they were coming out of the marriage license office) and discovered that a large percentage of the men were getting married because their fiancee's told them that it was time to get married or they were going to move on. The men were also very excited to be getting married and thought the women they chose was the best, most beautiful, most interesting...etc. Basically, they were thrilled. 4) RelationshipSafe-Zone.com Successful dating means getting what you're looking for. If you're looking for true love and marriage, then you'll want to know about my new venture. I'm developing a series of courses that are designed to help men and women prepare themselves, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and physically, to be able to successfully attract the best possible partner. I'll be offering these courses to the members of Elite Personal Search (the matchmaker I used to find Chris) but I'll be offering them in separate classes to you as well. I will be facilitating them on phone calls, 3 evenings per week, in 3 time zones. For a lesser fee, the courses can be downloaded and self-guided. I'll be fine-tuning the courses while I'm gone and in August, when I return I'll be meeting with the website designer. I'll have the course descriptions ready soon and when I do, you'll get a link that describes each in detail. I'll keep you posted on all progress. I'm really excited because these courses are like nothing else that'ss out there. 5) Great Dating Tips From Yahoo Personals Here is a link to some interesting articles about dating, spotting "players", our reaction to a man's voice, the smell factor, and more.
