Part of mutual attraction and compatibility is how much each person talks. If both people need to talk 60% of the time, there's obviously going to be a problem. On the other hand, if both people only talk 10% of the time, the silences will be overwhelming. The people with which we feel that magical pull, balance us on the talking scale. An example of compatibility might be where one talks 40% of the time, the other talks 50% and there's a nice comfortable 10% available for silence.
I would not be surprised if a lot of people have quit seeing each other because the talking scale was off, never realizing what went wrong.

Listening to anyone we're with shows caring, respect and interest--no matter who it is, or what stage in a relationship. While I'm on the subject of listening, here's something you may not have thought about.
