Fortunately, most everyone on the list just waited it out. Some wrote to the others trying to offer explanation, requests to be patient and let the "poor woman" get the problem fixed, and one actually chastised the one who used the four letter words telling her that her language was not appropriate or appreciated. She got some "You go girl," and "Good for you" supportive emails for letting the nasty emailers know that they were out of line.
What I learned:
There were many things that came out of the entire mess. One was that I got to do some very serious crying. My life was on the brink anyway (a little of why is in the article on Character) so the email thing pretty much put me over the edge. It felt good to do so much crying, although I was devastated about what was happening.
Jeff and several of the women began to write to each other outside of the group. They apparently created a nice group experience and had a great time. I'm looking into forming a kind of chat room for those of you who would like to talk with each other.
One woman wrote and shared how excited she was to see how many emails were waiting for her and how popular it made her feel. She said she was on a high all day. continued previous
